Let a little light in
Bright, natural light can’t be beaten for creating an inviting, cosy look to any family home. Curtains can be a little overwhelming (even when open) so opt for a more flexible, practical solution with blinds. Roller, vertical, Venetian, slatted, Perfect Fit or otherwise, blinds are perfect for making a family home a cosy living space.
Let the light in whenever – or however much – you need, or just tilt the slats to add more privacy. Adjust the length of roller blinds to tweak the light, especially on bright summer mornings, and you’ll love basking in the brightness.
Throw a throw
How cozy does a bed or sofa look with the addition of stylish throw? Not only ideal for those colder nights, but also very comforting all year round. Who can resist cuddling under a plaid or warming wooden throw?
How about a curtain wall?

How about a retro family wall of photos?

Who doesn’t love an open fire? Instant warmth, heat and security, whilst creating a delightful beautiful feature that will draw everyone into a room. Coziness doesn’t come more beautiful and practical it seems.
Use strategic seating
Create more practicality in each room by using carefully matched seats. Either use a small dressing chair in a bedroom, or a more elaborate reading chair in a living room.
Contrast the colours
An excellent way to draw warmth into a room is by using darker colours on walls, yet setting off lighter features of metallic or white to contrast on tables, furniture or accessories.
Accessorise with lights
String lights in particular create a warm, welcoming glow as well as adding an intrinsic beauty to any room. String along walls, over mirrors or even over bed frames and you’ll instantly boost any family room into a cosy, almost secret space.
