Terms and Conditions

1. When you place an order on this website you are obliged to make payment of the price shown. We are under no obligation to you until payment in full has been received by us. When we accept your order, you will receive an email confirming your order details.

2. The price payable will be shown on the website when you complete the order process, and will also be shown in the confirmation email. The prices shown on the website are available only for internet customers and are not available in any of our shops or from our ‘Shop At Home’ sales service.

3. If we are unable to complete your order and require to cancel your order, then we undertake to refund all sums paid as quickly as possible. We regret that we cannot be liable for any consequential losses suffered.

4. If any part of the materials ordered is unavailable, we will endeavour to provide a suitable replacement subject to your agreement.

5. We are happy to provide samples of materials used in the manufacture of our products. We recommend that customers order samples and do not rely solely on the descriptions, photographs or illustrations provided on this website. We cannot accept responsibility for any difference in appearance between goods supplied and screen images on this website. Samples and ‘Shop in a Box’ sample packs are provided at our discretion.

6. It is your responsibility to provide accurate measurements. We can accept no responsibility for incorrect measurements. If you are not completely sure about how to measure then you should contact us before you make your order. No refunds can be provided if the measurements you supply to us are not accurate.

7. We endeavour to ensure an exact match between samples and the finished product. All products are individually subject to careful inspection before leaving our factory. Any minor or immaterial variation between the sample and the finished product shall not entitle you to reject the goods or seek compensation.

8. We endeavour to produce and deliver your order within seven working days. If we cannot deliver your finished goods within that timescale we shall deliver as soon as possible thereafter, and in any event within 30 days.

9.1 We provide a twelve month guarantee in relation to problems arising from manufacturing or materials. This twelve month period starts from the date of delivery. If any defects should arise then please contact us immediately. If we consider that there may be a problem with either the materials or workmanship then we will arrange for a courier to collect the goods which shall be repaired and returned to you free of charge. If the defect cannot be repaired then we will provide replacement goods.

9.2 Please do not return goods to us unless we have specifically requested that you do so. If you return goods to us without having first agreed this with us in advance, or if goods returned with our agreement are not defective or have been subject to modification or misuse then we shall charge you in respect of the time, materials, and delivery costs. Any such charges shall be debited via the debit or credit card used when ordering the goods. We shall however notify you of any such charges to be imposed prior to any such repairs being carried out.

9.3 In any event, charges for time, materials and delivery shall be imposed if the goods are returned outwith the twelve month guarantee period.

10.1 We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss of damage, or loss of profits arising out of our supply or failure to supply goods to you.

10.2 The offers in this website are available only to domestic customers for delivery in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland. Commercial customers should contact our sales team to be provided with appropriate fabric ranges and pricing structures.

11. We reserve the right to carry out enquiries with credit reference or other agencies in relation to your financial status.

12. We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver, delay in delivery, damage or defect to the goods which is caused by anything which is beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to third party default, industrial action, systems breakdown, flood, fire, explosion or accident.

13. Except for our directors, employees or representatives, a person who is not a party to this agreement has no right under the UK Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any terms of this agreement but this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party that exists or is available apart from that Act.

14. All statements and descriptions within this website must be read in conjunction with these terms and conditions and is subject to these terms and conditions. If any part of these terms and conditions is held to be unenforceable, the remainder of the terms and conditions shall not be affected.

15. This contract is subject to the Law of Scotland and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.

Data Protection Notice

When you provide personal information via this website, the Data Controller is Shades Window Blinds Limited. The Data Controller will use your information for administration, marketing, credit scoring, customer services and customer profiling. We will disclose your information to our service providers and agents for these purposes. We may keep your information for a reasonable period. We may contact you by mail, telephone or email with offers of opportunities that may interest you. You have the right to request a copy of the personal data that we hold about you (for which we may charge a fee) and to correct any inaccuracies. We may disclose personal data in order to comply with legal or regulatory obligation. In order to prevent fraud, to check your identity and to prevent money laundering we may search the files of credit reference agencies who will record any credit searches on your file. We may also disclose details of how you conduct your account to such agencies. This information will be used by other credit grantors when making credit decisions about you and the people with whom you are financially associated. We may ask credit reference agencies to provide a credit scoring computation. In order to carry out these procedures we may contact you by mail, telephone, fax or email. By providing us with your address, telephone number, fax number or email address, you consent to being contacted by these methods for these purposes.
